TxCFR 2015 Conference

Congratulations once again for being selected to present at the 2015 TxCFR Annual Conference. Below is a link to a draft of the conference schedule listing detailed information on each presentation. Please review your presentation information for accuracy. Then use the link to the Presenter Confirmation Form below to confirm your intent to attend the conference and present so that we can have the appropriate accommodations available for you.

Presenter Information:

Registration & Membership

Anyone presenting at the conference must register for the conference. If you have not registered yet, you may register online at TxCFR 2015 Conference Registration. Please note the Early Bird reduced rate until March 10, after which prices will increase. Members of TxCFR / NCFR (National Council on Family Relations) receive a discounted rate, and TxCFR membership can be purchased during registration or separately on the TxCFR Membership webpage. When you join TxCFR you are eligible to run for office, vote on TxCFR matters, receive the newsletter, and support healthy families in the lone star state. TxCFR provides an informative, dynamic conference at low cost to attendees. As a consequence, we are unable to provide stipends.

Workshop & Research Paper Presenters

At the conference a TxCFR Host will preside over oral presentations, handle logistical needs, and introduce presenters in each workshop or research paper presentation. The Host will assist in starting and closing on time and other tasks as agreed upon with presenters. A map of the building with room locations will be provided. We anticipate up to 30 attendees per session.

Poster Presenters

During the poster session set-up time, a TxCFR Host will assist you in finding your table. Poster presentations will require a tri-fold presentation board or other stand alone presentation format to be used with the tables provided (you will have approximately 4 feet of space on the table). During the President’s Reception conference attendees will be invited to visit the posters and discuss your work with you. You are welcome to bring handouts, brochures or other printed materials pertaining to your presentation or your organization.

Digital Bulletin Board

We offer an opportunity to advertise your presentation or your organization at all group gatherings during the conference, via a digital bulletin board information loop. If you would like to include your information, please email the information to [email protected]. Please include DIGITAL BULLETIN BOARD in your subject line. Some examples of advertisements include:

• A photo/logo and a brief description of your presentation and/or organization
• A PowerPoint or Keynote slide
• A brief (30 seconds or less) video / digital animation [Note: sound may not be available]

Photo / Video Release

Please be aware that TxCFR takes random photographs during the conference and video may be recorded or live streamed as well. There is an item on the registration form to provide your permission to use your image on the TxCFR website and in TxCFR publications and video.

Driving Directions & Parking

An interactive map can be found at the bottom of the 2015 TxCFR Annual Conference Event page. There will be plenty of free parking at both the conference hotel and the Hunter Welcome Center where the conference will be held.

Hotel Accommodations

The Holiday Inn Express and Suites Abilene [located on Interstate 20 (I-20) in Abilene] has graciously provided a discounted rate for those who attend the TxCFR Conference. More information about the hotel accommodations can be found on the 2015 TxCFR Annual Conference information page.
